KOKO Asia Speaks…

About two months back KOKO Asia revealed the possible return of Brit indie icons the Libertines. Well as it turns out, a few days back on May 16th Carl Barat and Pete Doherty finally buried the hatchet and took to the stage together as the Libertines.

The set was a tribute gig to late promoter Johnny Sedassy who used to help organise shows for the band back in the day. Barat has gone on the record as saying that he loved playing with Pete again, but still wanted to focus on his solo album first which is ready for release this year.

Nonetheless the stage is now set for the return of one of the most influential British bands of the noughties in 2010.

Babyshambles had played a seven track set earlier in the night before Carl Barat took to the stage to screams from the crowd accompanied by drummer Gary Powell. Babyshambles bassist Drew McConnell took the place of former Libertines bass player John Hassall who is now in new band Yeti.

We have complied videos of the gig at the London Rhythm Factory below. Enjoy!
