CHOON OF THE WEEK

In celebration of our launch night last Friday I’ve decided to spoil you with not just one, but TWO tracks that made the cut in this oh so prestigious list. First off and taking a break from the indie norm I give you Zinc’s remix of La Roux’s Bulletproof. La Roux has recently taken the UK by storm with their debut self titled album and recently played at KOKO. As usual with all great acts the remixes are never far behind. She has already had ‘In For The Kill’ remixed by High Contrast which is a sure sign of success seeing as anything the Cardiffian puts his beats to turns to gold. Arguably so far the most successful remix has been Skream’s ‘Lets Get Ravey Mix‘ of ‘In For The Kill’, but now D’n’B heavyweight Zinc throws his weight behind ‘Bulletproof” with a mind bending baseline which is going to destroy speakers all summer.

It’s been almost 10 years since Phoenix arrived with their debut album ‘United’. In that time the boys from France have released four more studio albums to great acclaim and widespread success. Their latest offering, ‘Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix’, has propelled them further on the international scene and their new track ‘Lisztomania’ has been dominating dance halls around Europe for weeks.

Currently in the middle of their US tour the band from Versailles has already been confirmed to play at some of the biggest festivals in the world later this year such as Summersonic in Tokyo and Osaka and V Festival in the UK. Mayo.
